Oscar Red Carpet Dresses

The red carpet season drew to a close this weekend culminating at the Oscars. There were fabulous dresses as to be expected.  One of my favorite was Julianne Moore’s custom Chanel Haute Couture gown paired with Chopard jewels.

Jennifer Garner also looked elegant wearing an Atelier Versace dress, Ferragamo purse, and Rene Caovilla heels. Her poise and the flow of the gown unfortunately could not be captured in the still image.

Taylor Swift showed up after the event at the Vanity Fair after party in a black Alexandre Vauthier gown with gold Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and a matching a Jimmy Choo clutch.

Sofia Vergara showed her curves tastefully wearing Marchesa.

Elka Wardega, Oscar winner for best make up for Mad Max, also had a lovely dress. The studs were a bit dramatic as you might expect from someone involved Mad Max, but tasteful none the less. Image from makeupmag.com

Below in a much more toned down Lady Gaga wearing a simple but elegant custom Brandon Maxwell dress, Brian Atwood shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels reported to be valued at $8 million. Check out another lovely white pantsuit in our eariler pantsuit post.

Always a stunner, Charlize Theron Wearing a Dior Haute Couture dress and Harry Winston jewels reportedly valued at almost $4 million.

A wonderfully tasteful Olivia Munn is wearing a Stella McCartney tangerine dress and Forevermark jewelry.

Typically not what I would have expected on the red carpet but Alicia Vikander’s youth carries the custom Louis Vuitton high low bubble dress, heels, and jewelry well.

Simple and refined, Tina Fey Wearing a body flattering Versace dress and Bulgari jewels that add drama and elegance to her look.

Cate Blanchettwearing seafoam green Armani Privé dress that wouldn’t work for  most, but she carries it well paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and a Roger Vivier clutch.
