For those of you who have not been fortunate enough to enjoy a Hot and Now doughnut, i.e. one that is Hot and that you can enjoy Now, it is time to welcome you into the fold. If you have a factory store, that is a store where doughnuts are made before your unbelieving eyes, you will see rings of yeast based dough magically transform into a delicious fluffy original doughnuts hot off the line…
They have been described as everything from a single sweet circle of heaven to delicious little pillows that melt in your mouth. To see larger images, simply click on the desired picture.
First you see row upon row of circles of dough on vertical conveyor belts. As they go up and down the varying tracks, they slowly begin to rise.
After the rising is complete they slide off the conveyor belt into hot oil where they begin to sizzle.
Then with a graceful flip, they cook on the other side, leaving a light ring as a tell tale sign around the perimeter, an expansion joint of sorts.
They then traverse the draining racks.
Where ultimately they hit the magical wall of liquid sugar coating each doughnut to perfection.
In case you need a close up of the shot above and the solid sheet of liquid sugar as it bathes each dougnut….
They hit the tracks again for the second and final drain.
And if the Hot and Now plain glazed donuts are not enough to satisfy your sweet tooth…
They make many other doughnuts including iced, filled, cake, and seasonal from anglotopia…
