The Pantsuit is back. It is functional. It is glamorous. It a savvy garment that easily transitions from a day to night with just a change of accessories and footwear. With an unending possibility of details, the pantsuit is a must-have addition to any wardrobe.
Below: This Chicago Pantsuit from Revolve has it all. Provacative, yet not too revealing. Interesting billowing neckline. Side sash for visual interest. Pockets as a bonus.
Equally stunning in black. This Chicago High Neck Jumpsuit from Cameo also has a high neck and dropped armholes.
I love this pantsuit from Ganni partially because it is so misleading. It screams RETRO dress, which for those of you who know me is always my favorite, with the deep v-neckline, padded shoulders, capped sleeve, pleated design, button waistband, and wide full length leg. It harkens back yesteryear. Pair it with a hat and mules as below and it is perfect for the steeplechase. Shed the hat, add baroque pearls and pumps and you are ready for cocktails.
Seen here with the ever popular sailor motif from a prior warmer season and unfortunately not currently available, it has that perpetual fresh off the shore look.
Below, add a lace top for a different look. The top photo was after a photo shoot at New York’s fashion week so not available for sale currently, but the one below it is.
I love this Max Mara suit with the wonderful cowl neck detail. It has just a touch of asymmetry for a elegant detail. Earrings and shoes can make the difference between a look for the office or the club.
If you are searching for just an evening look…
Her it is in a new take on a maxi with a draped neckline and flowy pant legs with a tie waist.
Here we see it from 7 for All Mankind in a halter neck, wide leg, Velvet Jumpsuit. You can almost touch the texture.
Could not post without a one shoulder piece, but am not familiar with the seller.
Lulu’s crossed front top adds a pop of visual detail to a simple black form.
The black pantsuit below with the cutouts could easily have been one worn by a James BOND GIRL. The site is one I don’t recognize, but wonder if it is from the megagiant ALIBABA. At the unbelievable price of less than $20.00, I just had to mention it.
I even like this ultra simple, almost Mario Brothers style jumper pantsuit. I love that it is mostly wool which will work beautifully for layering with the cooler weather.
For the artistically inclined from Norma Kamali.
With the billowy flow of a built in wrap juxtaposed against the slim silhouette, this is perhaps my favorite.
Feature image: Considering a different look for your wedding? This pantsuit makes you do a double take. Flowing train… then wow, pants! Elegant, stylish, and singular. Imagine being able to move around comfortably at your wedding.
Very good post. Keep writing!
