So the bootie fashion trend is one it took me a while to understand. I think the reason is that there are so many ways it can not look good. Oddly enough, if you find the right bootie, and pair it with an appropriate outfit, it can be smashing. It, despite being essentially hybrid footwear, is completely unlike any other. The key is to wear it as it is intended. It is not supposed to have pants tucked into it or draped across it. It is meant to be noticed. That means if your pants are long, you fold them. If your skirt is too long, you change it. It is footware that demands center stage. It commands a presence whether out in the city, countryside, or for a swirl on the dance floor. If you are interested in a particular bootie, there is an embedded link in each picture to make it convenient for you to click and get in time for the holidays. Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!
City sophisticate…
Gorgeous Anisa Bootie from Coye Nokes in black and sienna suede with bronze mirror. It commands center stage no matter where or how you wear it.
From Fendi in opulent two tone leather with spiked stud tab detail. Tame, with a hint of fire.
From Ted Baker London with a metal heel detail.
With a more casual western style…
The ‘Dextir’ Pointy Toe Ankle Bootie by Steve Madden is cut deeply at the ankle to reveal some skin, sophisticated with a touch of Western with a pointed toe and a stacked heel.
From Vince Camuto, the Muse Bootie, in a western look.
With a higher profile from Frye the Brown Patty Gore Bootie in buffalo.
Suede options…
In suede from Lucky in the Betwixt bootie with a low heel.

For the spirited…
In a leopard that transitions easily from sophisticated to sporty by Sam Edelman in the Petty.
In a snappy red from Earth, the Hawthorne.
As an evening piece…
The ‘Anais 2’ booties from B Store have side cut-outs, patent leather, and a stiletto heel.
From Saint Laurent the Brown Paris Suede Booties with stiletto heels.
