With cooler weather and chilly evenings come warm nights by a crackling fire. While the fireplace is typically the architectural focal point of the room, the fireplace screen can be an afterthought. It is often something plugged in to fill a need with often a mental note to upgrade later.
We still have the one that came with our first house 20 years ago. While it is still functional, it lacks any aesthetic. The ding on the top also does not help nor does the one loose and slightly crooked handle. As it seems I always have more pressing issues, I have not invested the time needed to look for a good fireplace screen. As such, I now have decided to make it a priority and find one to enjoy and live with. Investing in the right fireplace screen is a simple way to upgrade a whole room with just one purchase.
In case you also share the same predicament, I’ve included some of my top finds on my search for the perfect one. Included are ones for traditional to transitional homes as well as contemporary homes to mountain retreats.
Hopefully you will find one that captures your fancy.
For the traditional to transitional home consider…
For a more contemporary look consider…
For a rustic mountain cabin…
For the summertime, for a change of pace, you could use could use this wonderful insert.
As I was searching for fireplace screens, I also came across this adorable hat and mitten drying rack to organize a newly “glamed” up fireplace.
And just in case you don’t already have a clean way to transport the logs…
I’m so excited! I keep putting off getting a screen, and you couldn’t have picked a better time to post this! I would like to purchase the third one from the bottom. Where can I find it? Do you have a link?
I’m so glad to hear it. If you click on the photo, it will take you to the site you desire.
